riding the wave of the spring break craze we highlight the official party starters!!!
'Funk Yo Music' by Exit 714
A unique blend of funk, hip-hop, and rock, Exit 714 has built on a sound that drives you to move your body. The song
‘Funk Yo Music’ has embodied this particular blend extremely well. Off their 1st album ‘Junk Deals’ Exit 714’s song ‘Funk
Yo Music’ is a party track waiting to be blasted. This high energy, booty shaking, bass thumping song should be at the
beginning of your party mix every time you go out for shenanigans. We are honored to have this veteran St Louis
band a part of our party song list!
'Vamp Life' by Live Learn Repeat
The artist Live Learn Repeat better known by his fans as 2LR is a product of west side Chicago IL. 2LR thrives on
creativity and expression. The track in review “Vamp Life” caught the attention of the #awakenyourmusic staff during
America’s party week and immediately became a favorite amongst the other submissions. “Vamp Life” isn’t that height of
the night middle of the dance floor turn up track, however it is the perfect song to set the tone for an epic night on the town.
Picture that moment waiting on that friend that takes all day to get ready or that 20 30 min road trip to your favorite
after hours spot “vamp Life” is the go to track to keep you vibin heavy!

'Cheers Your Cups' by Lou Menk\Bound To Break
Lou Menk front man for St Louis band Bound To Break is known for writing anthem after anthem. His catchy
hooks and one liners resonate with the listener and gives this wonderful band a creative edge. Even though the
selection was wide, our choice was obvious once we started our search for party songs... ‘Cheers Your Cups’ is a great
example of fun times gone array. Inspired by real experiences around the notorious St Louis East Side, Lou Menk writes
about that one night we’ve all had.
'Like Serena' by Shadow B
“This is the song that can put St. Louis Original sound back on the scene.” Quoted by the East St. Louis rapper himself
‘Shadow B’ in regards to his latest single #likeserena. Ok to the readers that may not know I (Mike Tree,) am from
St. Louis as well and I can speak first handedly that the “So St. Louis” style Shadow B displays on this record is authentic
from his delivery, verbiage and the beat breakdowns it is an undeniable product of “Da Lou.” Follow the link to hear
more of that STL style
'When Saturday Night Turns Into Sunday Morning' by J Boozer
J Boozer an extremely well rounded entertainer and even more of a professional party rocker! J Boozer gives us a no
holds barred description of a night he had at the legendary “Pop’s” nightclub on this track in review
“when Saturday night turns into Sunday morning.” You may notice the heavy usage of quotation throughout
this article it’s because I couldn’t possibly describe the hangover before the hangover feeling that Mr. Boozer so eloquently
depicts as “It Don’t Feel Too Good!” This issue is all about the party so it’s impossible to elude the part where we
overdo it and make a complete fool of ourselves, “because the calls start coming in about things we don’t remember.
” We all like to portray we are the king and queen of cool when the blood alcohol levels rise but that just isn’t the case!
I marvel at J Boozers blend of brutal honesty and musical ability I have to give this song a 5 out of 5 on the decibel meter!
''Turn It Up (It Going Down)' by Player VS Environment
Player VS Environment truly has one of the most unique and cutting edge sounds in the underground music scene.
The sound and imagery is a direct reflection of the psyche of the modern pop culture enthusiast skewed and turned
around on itself. Combining elements of rock, club, dub, trap and many others Player Vs Environment creates a
harmonious clash of synth, drops, and heavy guitar riffs that leave the listener in complete astonishment. One song
choice for this list is ‘Turn It Up (It’s Going Down)’ and we think once you hear it you will understand why.
'Low' by Terrell Blaze
Terrell blaze a multi-talented artist song writer & producer that scaled the ranks as an official party starter. Emerging from his home town
St. Louis Mo Terrell blaze takes on more southern influences in his music. The track in review “Low” is a club classic
in the era of twerk videos and the molly trend the timing of the release was perfect, it works or should I say twerks to
the advantage of everyone in the place to be. The beat takes control before the first bass drop it’s definitely one of those
recognizable “this my jam” type of instrumentals. The lyrical content was on point not too much not too repetitive
everything fell into place with the intent to make the ladies move their waist. For this review I have to give
“Low” a 5 out of 5 bars on the decibel meter!
